Visa Information


All foreign participants* are required to obtain a visa to enter Russia.

Information on applying for visa to Russia in your country may be found on the goingrus.com website.

Please be aware that in accordance with Russian migration rules, Conference's participants need to hold the HUMANITARIAN VISA.
It is strongly prohibited for Touristic visa holder to visit and participate in Conference sessions.

Tomsk Polytechnic University will provide a visa support document (official visa invitation) for SMMIB-2019 participants and accompany persons needing one.

Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation from the conference organizers can request one by contacting the SMMIB-2019 Registration Department at office@smmib.ru.

Download this document for the visa application form. Copy of the first two pages of your passport (with a photo and the personal data) are also required.
Please note that letters of invitation are only issued to registered and paid/approved delegates.

Please note that all official invitations to Russia are processed by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Federal Migration Service. Therefore, it takes some time for the Organizing Committee to generate the invitation letter (from 5-7 up to 40 working days).

Please keep in mind making VISA arrangements for entry into Russia if required. Such arrangements are the responsibility of attendees and other participants and may take up to 3-4 months.

Please note that invitation letters will only be issued upon confirmation of registration and after full payment for registration fees has been received.
